[mythtv-users] PVR-250 MCE Not Working Following Jarod's Guide

Looking at the ivtv website
(http://ivtv.writeme.ch/tiki-index.php?page=SupportedHardware), it looks
like I have a revision 2 (model 28xxx) Hauppauge Freestyle card. It
specifically says that this version of the card will not work with ivtv.
Hopefully the guy I got it from can work something out with Hauppauge and
get one of the other revisions.

Interesting. Hauppauge must have just switched chips. I received two
PVR-250 MCE cards directly from them about three weeks ago and they both
show up as:

Multimedia video controller: Internext Compression Inc iTVC16 (CX23416)
        MPEG-2 Encoder (rev 01)
Subsystem: Hauppauge computer works Inc.: Unknown device 4801
Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 64, IRQ 5
        Memory at e8000000 (32-bit, prefetchable) [size=64M]
Capabilities: [44] Power Management version 2

I've got a different problem with my cards though. My system always locks
up while trying to download microcode to the cards.
