hello

i tested the knoppmyth with my vie epia me6000 and pvr350.
now i know how mythtv looks;-).

the frontend can not connect to the backend (server and client on the
same maschine). why? i don't know.

the remote works fine.

the sound is very bad, with kernel 2.6.4 the sound was perfect, any
tips?

what i had done:

then i try to bring up my pvr350 with the setup, nothing work.

switch to the console and try this tips:
http://www-isl.mach.uni-karlsruhe.de/~hi93/myth/mythtv_debian_epia_pvr350_walkthrough
i try tvout work fine, cat /dev/video >file.mpg work (picture, sound i
don't know), load the driver with the correct tuner type tune the
channel with ptune.pl (after i install Video-Frequencies-0.03.tar.gz,
ivtv-0.1.9.tar.gz, Video-ivtv-0.12.tar.gz and libconfig-inifiles-perl):
#!/bin/bash

count=1           #Zähler auf Null setzen

#So lange durchlaufen bis count nicht mehr unter 10 ist
while [ $count -le 126 ]
      do
        echo $count  #Zähler ausgeben
        ptune.pl -c $count
        count=$[$count+1]  #Zähler um eins erhöhen
      done

okay i see the testpicture from my video recorder (my video recorder is
defect, so i couldn't play a cassette to check the sound).

now i install a new debian base system with kernel 2.4 (any tips which
one, any patch?) and then try to setup the rest.

bye
thomas
