This is not a DIRECT answer, as I don't have a 250, but they dump std
mpeg,so you can skip all of this until you hit "vobview" below.
I just "discovered" that avidemux2 will read mythtvs nonstandard nuvs
now, and 2.0.22 at least will dump mpeg2-PS (AKA .vobs)
I have finally been dumping my "stuff" to dvds,
My "toolchain"
Mythtv, rtjpeg no auto transcode, no commercial detection. (Sci-Fi
appears to intentionally defeat it)
(avertv stero, nforce2 w/oss driver)
Import to avidemux, usually after Id'ing//moving via nuvexport.
edit out commercials in avidemus. Usually takes < 1 minute.
Save as "mpeg2-PS, DVD/ac3 audio selected as codecs, and having
configured all the options (bitrate, etc) and "pressing" process video
and process audio
load result into vobview, trim out anything you forgot, and hit "i" and
it will dump the iso image.
If you just wan to dump a vob after editing, hit "x"
