Does windows media player (old mplayer2 or new) work with any mpeg2 files?
If not, you need to get a mpeg2 codec, for example by installing a dvd
player program.

The dsmyth filters doesn't do any mpeg4 or mpeg2 decoding, so it needs
external filters for that.

The mpeg2 part has recived little testing, but I am able to stream livetv
from my dvb card and play it in mplayer2.
For some reason it takes a little while before it starts playing, not sure
why that happens.

I don't have a pvr250/350 card so I can't test that, but if the files is
normal mpeg2 I can't see any reason why it shoudn't work.
