[mythtv-users] X freezes with high CPU - nvidia

All,
    I have a P4 2Gig on an Intel 845GBV motherboard with an Nvidia GeForce2 440X
AGP card. I've tried multiple versions of the nvidia driver (even going back to
the one the Jarod Wilson suggests in his Fedora doc) and I still get random
freezes in X. This seems to happen either in liveTV or when watching recorded
shows.

When it happens, everything freezes - image as it was. However, I can log into
the box remotely. When I do - I see that X is taking up 100% of the cpu...an
strace on the process doesn't seem to show anything useful - just spinning on
SIGALRM or something.

I can kill X (with a -9) and restart and then everything is back to normal.

BTW, I have tried this with and without the nvAGP setting.

Any ideas?
Brian
