[mythtv-users] I just can't get it working.

Have you defined your capture cards in the setup program? (Which is
called mythtv-setup or mythtvsetup depending on your distribution.)
And video sources? And channels in the sources? And associate your cards
with your sources?

So your hardware works somewhat.

Better you work out how to set it up and maintain it, rather than have
someone else do it for you. (telnet access wouldn't be enough anyway.)
Between the mythtv.org web pages, HOWTOs like Jared's
(http://www.wilsonet.com/mythtv/) and the archives of this mailing list
(http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/mythtv/users/) there's plenty of
information already available.
