I have the cooler master case, so I know what you mean.
There will also be an IR receiver socket on the expansion slot cover on 
the back.  I haven't found any
ready made IR receivers with a 3.5mm plug, so I may have to make them 
myself.  Does anyone know
of any sources for them?  I know one came with my PVR-350.
