[mythtv-users] UK Commercial flagging (DVB) ?

I seems to remember that the uk broadcasters used to transmit an "out of
band" piece of information which indicated when the commercials were
about to start. This appeared in the top right of the screen as a small
(flashing ?) square for a period of time before the adverts.

Does anyone remember the specification for this ? 
Also, how many of the broadcasters honour this ? (I think I've seen it
on ITV1,ITV2 and Channel 4, but not consistently)

Has anyone one managed to get commercial flagging to work well in the
UK ?

I guess you can see where I'm going with this :-)
