ok.. getting there..

have re-installed alsa on the backend.. and now have audio when I open
the ring-buffer directly.. so I know the backend is working fine :)

now.. does anyone have ideas why, or have they experienced it
themselves.. that FC2 keeps coming up with "prebuffering pause" messages
when playing livetv.. but it seems fine on my regular frontend FC1 box
in the front living room...
