[mythtv-users] Questions @ lirc/homebrew receiver & Jarod's guide

My modules.conf has the following lines for my receiver:
alias char-major-61 lirc_serial
options lirc_serial irq=4 io=0x3f8
It's works great with the ATrpms install of lirc.

It works with homebrew receivers, no need to uninstall.

I don't have a serial reciever and I could be mistaken, but I think all you
need to do is change lirc_i2c to lirc_serial.

Correct. Check in /usr/share/docs/lirc-*/ and I think you may find a TiVo
remote lircd.conf, and there have been several TiVo lircrc files that have
floated the list.
