I have a similar problem (Comcast in MA,USA) with a PVR250MCE using the
tuner on analog cable. When I use us-cable, ch 5 is poor and black and
white, ch 6 is full of junk, but everything else looks very good. With
the us-cable-hrc setting, 5 looks great, 6 is as good as the cable box
picture (which is poor), and the rest look fuzzy & wavy. Ch 5 looks
great on the cable box.
I am use Knoppix 3.4 on the HD with latest mythtv apt package 0.15-1,
ivtv 1.9 with card type patch. The tuner type set to 2.
I tried adding 12dB of attenuation to the input, and it didn't help so
it's not overload. I also turned off the TV and cable box in case it was
interference, but also no help.
Is this a bad card?
