[mythtv-users] ivtv worked fine for months then died?

I have been running my myth box with only the usual problems (i.e.
fixable ;-))
for about a year now. My original apt-get install would not work, I
used the ivtv
drivers from CVS at the time for my PVR-250 (July 7, 2003).

Since this 'broke' apt-get, I was running myth .10 with these ivtv
drivers until last
month (it's ok to laugh). At the time I didn't have much familiarity
with linux, but
had worked with Solaris for years, building stuff from source.

Anyway, I upgraded to .15 for the datadirect stuff. Still no problems.
  Worked fine
for a week or two. Then I started getting 0 length shows (when the
disk was not
full). Rebooted. Worked again for 4-5 days.

Now, it seems to still load:

since it worked after the upgrade, I don't think it's my .15 settings,
but I'd be
happy to be wrong.

Any way to tell if it's bad hardware?

I'm going to upgrade to the latest ivtv drivers and see if that helps.
I'd appreciate any other troubleshooting suggestions

Thanks!
gabi
