Your ALSA section is not correct. It is misordered up just like mine
was. It should look extactly as follows.

Notice that I moved the two lines that contain intel8x0 that were at
the bottom of the listing up. If you look closely at the examples in
Jarod's Guide, you'll see that the order is: "alias char-major-116 snd",
then "alias snd-card-0 snd-emu10k1", then "alias char-major-14
soundcore", then "alias sound-slot-0 snd-emu10k1". In you listing, the
emu10k1 is replaced by intel8x0.
