Hi, I also use Suse 9.0 and solved my mythmusic problem as described in 
the thread here:

Basically the problem is probably to do with the QT libraries that you 
are using. I had to try 3 different ones before I found one that worked. 
Even though I could compile against them mythfrontend crashed when I 
actually tried to play any music.

The link in the archive to the QT rpms I used seems to be dead - try 
this one instead:
