So what the best chipset, in your opinion?

Yeah, Chris has been trying to work around via's problems in software.
I remember something about 2 interrupts being thrown for the same DMA, and
a few other things on that.

If he can make it work, more power to him.. But, drivers shouldn't have to
do that kind of checking to make sure the hardware underneath them isn't
hopelessly busted.

...then again, thats just an opinion. others might have different ones.

(I got bit by this bug when I first set up myth.. I went out and got a new
motherboard, and voila.  Stuff started working.)
