Hi,

  I am trying to get ac3 passthrough working with xine and a
  Soundblaster Audigy, but I can't get it to work.
  I currently run xine with
  xine --no-logo --no-splash --fullscreen --hide-gui dvd://
  and I set
  audio.a52_pass_through:1
  in my /home/myth/.xine/config, but that doesn't seem to be enough.
  In my /etc/emu10k1.conf, I have (different from the default-config)
  these settings:
    CARD_IS_5_1=yes
    USE_DIGITAL_OUTPUT=yes
    AC3PASSTHROUGH=yes
    ENABLE_RCA_SPDIF=yes
  What did I miss?
  I want to use a coax (electrical) digital cable from my audigy to my
  receiver. I know that my receiver is correctly setup to handle ac3
  on that input, but I am not sure about the cable (how many contacts
  is the plug on the audigy suppose to have? connector looks like one
  from headphones, these have 3, but the other side of the cable
  connects to a RCA-connector, which has only two contacs... can I use
  the usual Y cable, headphone/line to dual rca? which of the two rca
  do I have to use?) and my machine.... I have no clue if the problem
  is in hadware or software. Is there any bootable cd/dvd I
  can use to test this?

  TIA

 Timo
