Both running lwm.  I only have access to one of the frontends
right now, but here are the details from that machine:

  mythfe00:~# dpkg -l lwm | grep ^ii
  ii  lwm            1.2.0-1        Lightweight Window Manager

I can also confirm that switching from lwm to ratpoison fixes (or
at least masks) the title bar problem.
