Well, that's at least semi-heartening news for me! I'm planning on 
converting my current desktop into the main mythbackend once I've ransomed 
enough souls to afford my new workstation - an Abit KD7-R (which 
unfortunately has the much maligned KT400 chipset), and then chuck in 4 
drives in a RAID10 on a 3ware.

I'm curious as to what disk I/O is like on your system. Have you tried it 
with all cards running simultaneously? And did you have to do any slot 
changing/IRQ wiggling/onboard disabling to get the cards to be recognised? 
As I understand from the non-functioning Intel site this is quite a 
high-end board.
