Hello, i finally got a serial lirc reciever, but i am having problems
to get it working. Ok, it appears as though i can start lircd with no
problem, but when i try to use mode2 to test it i get his error:

mythtv:~# mode2
mode2: error opening /dev/lirc
mode2: No such device

At first i thought the /dev/lirc file haden't been created but:

mythtv:~# ls /dev/lirc*
/dev/lirc /dev/lircd /dev/lircm

My next thought was that the driver wasn't being loaded properly, and
this is where i started getting problems.

When i try to do a modprobe lirc_serial, i get this message:

mythtv:~# modprobe lirc_serial
FATAL: Error inserting lirc_serial
(/lib/modules/2.6.7iggy-3/misc/lirc_serial.ko): Device or resource
busy

That made me think the module is already loaded, but when i try rmmod
lirc_serial:

mythtv:~# rmmod lirc_serial
ERROR: Module lirc_serial does not exist in /proc/modules

I honestly have no clue what is going on, and i would appreciate any
help you could give me, thank you.

P.S. I am using a home brew reciever on a progeny debian unstable system.
