Definitely the same server and database (localhost, mythconverg).
I must say I had some mysql-password issues, but these were resolved. 
BTW: mythfrontend _can_ look up programs in the program finder.

No wrong date/time set. Still, like you, I thought this could be due to 
a time format error. That's why I attached a small dump of the 
program-table: are the begin/ending times in a correct format?

Apparently, in my case, it doesn't :(
