[mythtv-users] High processor usage

I'm using a pretty decent rig (P4-2.0/512MBmem/0.5TBdisk/FC2/Nvidia-6106) and have no problems with playback using my Nvidia card (asus 5200) and recording with my 350pvr.. however In the process of trying to get the new 250MCE-OEMs to work, I've noticed that I'm getting 60% utilisation on playback of videos and 25-30% on playback of live tv.. its the front end placing the burden, recordings are still only giving 0.5-2% util...

I thought the NVIDIA card was supposed to help reduce the CPU load when showing MPEG2 output.. whats going on here..?  What can I do to check that things are working as expected.. GLXgears gives 2500 as I'd expect.. the Nvidia logo pops up on startup.. I'm stumped.. :(
