[mythtv-users] password german mythfilldatabase --manual

Hello All, hello Steffen.

I use a tool named tv_grab_dvb. It grabs the EPG-Info out of a tuned
multiplex. Sure its an real early state of development, but it is
promising. It works for me with some drawbacks (no german letters).
The thing with the original version is also that its got a timwarp
of a hour. Ive fixed this for me with an extra german-flag.

It grabs the epg info and push it in xml-format so you can directly
pipe it to mythfilldatabase.

Its not the best, but its working and its for me on dvb-t the best
solution, compared to thos website sniffers... =)

The tool is from Mark Bryars and is findable here:
http://www.darkskiez.co.uk/dvbepg.html

I hope he isnt angry bout me, posting that. But for germany its the
best available solution imho.

Regards,
Andreas

OK, I tried tv_grab_de_tvtoday, but it seems, that this only aquire the
actual programe, not the frequencies needed for the sattelite.

Iīll have an (ascii) coded channels.conf (from szap and xine), which
could tell the right frequencies, but I donīt know how to feed the
database with this.

Of course, I donīt know if this grabber fills the mysql database, all
information are shown in the console (itīs still running)

Steffen
