Argh... none of this has anything to do with what he is saying. Why is 
everyone dancing around the issue?

The amount of free space reported by df is irrelevant. He said that the amount 
of space being *used* as reported by du is 9 GB different than what is being 
reported as being *used* by myth - not the amount free on the drive.

A discrepancy in the amount used and a discrepancy in the amount free are 
totally different things. The only discrepancy that should arise in the 
amount used would be due to the minimal block size used by the FS.
