[mythtv-users] Nova-t remote

I can't get my Nova-t remote (the grey one) to work with mythtv :(

It delivers events to /dev/input/event0 (evtest reports sensible values for remote keypresses through event0). I was expecting that this would work out of the box as event0 events would be taken as keyboard input, but mythtv ignores them. I also expected remote keypresses to be send to the console as keyboard input but od -c shows nothing.

I'm using a 2.4.25 kernel with unmodified 1.1.1 linuxtv drivers. I've heard some about a patch for these drivers but I'm not clear whether I need to try and apply it - I'd still have expected some keyboard input even w'out it.

lsmod (alsa entries removed) shows the following

Anyone got any ideas?
