[mythtv-users] Actisys IR-200L on USB Serial Dongle

Has anyone managed to get an Actisys IR-200L working on a USB to Serial
converter?   The lirc setup.sh only allows the ports to be defined by
ioport and interrupt, not by the /dev/ttyXXXX device (ttyS0, ttyUSB0,
etc.)

Any guidance?

Short of this, is there a USB version of the IR-200L or some other device
that I can use to control my cable boxes?  I'm trying to consolidate 2
backends into 1, so I'll need to remove the 2 port PCI serial card that
I'm using now to add another video capture card.
