[mythtv-users] Cvs version of mythfrontend crashes (usually upon exit) w/ OpenGL Sync

Yup, being worked on.  If you'd like to help test, look on the dev list 
for a thread '[PATCH] vsync reimplementation' from me.

Out of curiosity: 2.4 or 2.6 kernel?  Which distro?
