Well, exim will not be installed, but upgraded. And whether installed
or upgraded it will not destroy your qmail setup, it will simply place
exim binaies and configuration files onto the disk. You still decide
which MTA you'll use.
But in doubt simply uninstall exim before using apt, and apt won'z
upgrade it :)
