what is bttv being detected as????
use
dmesg | grep bttv
to find out.

Also, what version of the bt878P+ card are you using?  It is printed on 
the pcb.

I would recommend these module options for bttv (from my rev 9d (or 
something like that card)

card=72 tuner=2
