[mythtv-users] Built In Mythfilldatabase Automation

I'd just like to add that I'm having the exact same problem;
mythfilldatabase only inserts data into the DB when I run it as root.
MythBackend is running as user mythtv (with the DB hosted on a different
machine - all permissions seem to be OK...?); running mythfilldatabase as
user mythtv also doesn't make any inserts into the DB. As you would expect
in this situation, the automated mythfilldatabase in Myth doesn't work
either, and I've never been able to get the cron to work either - it runs,
but again doesn't insert any info into the DB.

Is there some kind of permissions issue I'm unaware of?

It's not much of a problem, but I'm curious as to the problem. FWIW, I'm
using the UK bleb grabber, and it doesn't seem to barf any entries into
/var/log/mythtv/mythbackend.log

Actually, now I look at it, I see the last entry in the mythbackend log was
almost a month ago. Something very weird going on here...

*toddles off to check permissions*
