[mythtv-users] CPU Heat on IVTV Failure

Something interesting happens on my mythtv box.  When I am watching recorded
items, I can watch one or two and then on the third selection the system
fails.

But I'd like some mythtv input on this, because mythtv weirdness happens
too.  The remote maps to the wrong items (hitting escape gets 'position
saved' shown on the screen).  Also, a mythbackend process goes into
hyperdrive consuming about 50% CPU and making the CPU go to high temp.

What about the ivtv failure could cause mythtv to go wild?
