Yep, it would be nice to get there :=)

At least if you switch AGP drivers between nvidia agpgart and Linux
agpgart you need to reboot, as there seems to be only an initializing
one-way code doing that (?!?).

At least according to nvidia's README. I never experimented with the
agpgart.

The ivtv driver also sometimes locks up and the codec chip can only be
revided with a hard reset.
