[mythtv-users] Live TV works but recording is broken

I have an athlon 2100+ that has a wintv401 (bt848) with functional btaudio that will play back live tv very well, but will break if I try to record something. The video is just blue with not much else, and if I try to watch it while it is recording, mythtvbackend appears to crash.

Then, if I delete/stop the recording and try to watch live TV again, it's blank until I restart mythtvbackend. I'm sure this is an obvious configuration problem, but I can't seem to find the problem.
