[mythtv-users] MythLCD --Whats it actually display?

Hello,

I am new to the list, but have over the last month built a Myth Box using
a PVR-250. I built a Lirc homebrew receiver, hooked up a 44780 LCD
Display. Now that I worked out a few bugs, this thing runs flawlessly!  I
use it all the time without a hitch.


I have my LCD working with LCDproc and it looks nice, but I am debating
the merits of having MythLCD working. I used apt-get on RH9 to do the
initial install of Myth, so I can only assume that the LCD support was not
compiled in. I hesitate to compile Myth from source as it works perfect
now, and I have a lot of time invested. I did google searches, read the
small README file for MythLCD and for the life of me I still don't know
what it actual displays. Can someone fill me in? Is it worth the effort?
