The author of these kernel modules, Gerd Knorr, suggested to use the
common snapshots for building rpms. He is trying to have them as
stable as possible, while still making fast bugfixes.
Building from a common source pool, I can now offer rpms that do not
conflict on their common files. This is valuable for users of multiple
cards. The common files have been outsourced to the video4linux-kmdl
rpm upon which the new drivers depend on.
I have done my best to ensure compatibility to the old release
model. The result is in "bleeding" state and can be found under
http://atrpms.physik.fu-berlin.de/name/video4linux/
Please test and report to me, please also positive reports, so I can
move it to a more stable category than testing :)
Note: current snapshot require gcc >= 3 (but this will be loosened
again), so no RH7.3 modules for now.
Enjoy!
