I did use Jarod's guide...and it was very helpful...

1) I know he mentions how to save sound levels.
2) For input 4, (tuner? / composite?), have you verified that there is
any
actually input signal available on the wire?  What does
'/usr/lib/ivtv/test_ioctl -a' say is at input 4?
