I agree. I bought a second "peanut" style Tivo remote on Ebay. It's also very
fast, meaning that the IR sequences are short and the buttons can be pressed
very quickly without dropping any commands. Some of the other generic remotes
I tried first were too slow and made it annoying to arrow around quickly,
especially through the EPG.
And, although it's very subjective, I'm very familiar with the remote
already. :) It's one of the few that has an arrow pad _AND_ separate volume/
channel up/down buttons. (Many remotes seem to combine the channel and volume
functions on an arrow pad.)
Plus, it was the simplest way to avoid trying to teach my family how to use
another remote. :)
