I've just installed mythtv using the deb packages,

when it installs the mythtv-database i get the following error,

Setting up mythtv-database (0.11-1) ...
Database 'mythconverg' on host 'localhost' already exists, skipping database initialization
Failed to execute SQL: GRANT ALL PRIVILEGES ON mythconverg.* TO mythtv at localhost IDENTIFIED BY 'r:p<Ad\nYou have an error in your SQL syntax near ''r:p<Ad' at line 1 at -e line 8, <> line 1.
dpkg: error processing mythtv-database (--configure):
subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 255

although the DB is already created in the above, the same error is given after a purge

im pretty sure its a problem with my passwords, so i

        changed the
            mythtv users password to A
mythtv mysql user password to A
            changed /etc/mythtv/mysql.txt > DBpasswd=A

still getting an access error when i try and mythtv-setup

Unable to connect to database!
Driver error was [1/-1]:
QMYSQL3: Unable to connect
Database error was:
Access denied for user: 'mythtv at localhost' (Using password: YES)

Unable to open database:
Driver error was:
QMYSQL3: Unable to connect
Database error was:
Access denied for user: 'mythtv at localhost' (Using password: YES)

Wondering if anyone has had similar problems or has any idas on how to fix it

thanks
