[mythtv-users] mythtranscode options

I've searched the complete archive and googled. What do the options mean
for mythtranscode? -p? -c? -s?

I'm unable to transcode either automatically or manually. When I try it
manually I get an error that it can't find the transcode daemon. What is
the proper way to set this up? I don't see anything in the documentation
about it. 

Should I be starting mythtranscode during the startup process?
