[mythtv-users] Transcode

I am trying to successfully use MythDVD to transcode some of my DVD's.
The MTD starts and it reads accesses the DVD for the first 5 minutes then it
is like the MTD just hangs.
The CPU usage drops through the floor and MTD no longer responds.  I have
the option for MTD to output to the console and no error messages are
displayed.
 
What was copied exists in the MythVideo folder and I can play it, but it
never actually finishes the operation and the job can not be cancelled.
The only way to recover this, to my knowledge, and to be able to use the DVD
again is to reboot.
 
Any ideas?
