I don't know what the FAT32 performance is like under linux, but that's 
pretty much the easiest option. The other option is that I believe I 
remember seeing an ext2/3 package for windows that would let you access 
the partition. The only problem there is that you need the program to do 
anything on the ext filesystem. I don't know if there's a more direct 
driver now.
