[mythtv-users] ivtv problem

Hi everyone.  Sorry, yes, this is meant for the ivtv list -- I sent 
this problem there but have not gotten a response.  I'm hoping someone 
here will recognize the problem and know how to fix it.

I have a WinTV PVR 350.  It can capture video just fine from the 
composite tuner (and beautifully, I might add) but it won't output.  I 
can load saa7127 and tell it to use the test pattern image and that 
works just fine outputting from the 350 to my TV.  However, 
/dev/video16 is never registered (I did mknod it).

In dmesg, I see:

Error! ivtv-fb: Specified card (id 0) is either not present or does not 
support TV out (PVR350 only)

dmesg also reports, upon ivtv's initial load:

ivtv: Found an unknown chip, treating it like an iTVC15

lspci -v lists my Hauppauge card.  The test pattern image shows just 
fine to my TV from the 350's output.  The card has no problem with TV 
input.  What could be wrong?  I've tried both the CVS tarball from 
12/28 and 11/25, both without any luck.  I am doing all this on a VIA 
ME6000 motherboard.
