[mythtv-users] mmx complilation problem

So me going around removing all the -fPIC is a "bad thing"? It also died
in /programs/mythfrontend/ and suddenly began to work again once I removed
those arguments.
To be honest I'm not even sure what -fPIC does. :)
Makes me almost want to use RH since there seem to be pre-made binaries
for everything. Unfortunately with RH9's upcoming death I don't want to
install a soon to be unsupported distro on a long term use box....
