[mythtv-users] Best non-Hauppauge TV-out cards?

You could always use whatever video card you have with an outboard
VGA->TV converter.  Someone posted some links to units available a
TigerDirect that were in the $50 range.  That would be cheaper than a
new motherboard and you can use it with the next generation myth box
too. :)
