It happens if I insert *any* media (well, at least audio CDs or DVDs) into 
either of my drives (one DVD, one CD-RW drive).

Don't spin your wheels on this (unless you want to) until I get a chance to 
update to current CVS and try this on my fresh Fedora installation.
