Folks seem to have most issues surrounding the ivtv driver (for the PVR-x50).  I don't 
use the TV-out with it which keeps issues to a minimum.

This seems to be a matter of preference.  I use RedHat Fedora Core via 
www.wilsonet.com/mythtv which has step by step walk-thru
