Malcolm,

There are no perfect solutions to some scenarios. If you wish to live on 
the bleeding edge you are bound to get some cuts once in a while. While 
it is up to you if you want to switch to CVS or not, you must decide 
whether the fixes you are looking for are worth the risk and work 
involved. Personally, I am in the process building the newest CVS to 
replace an older version from CVS. If there is something that bites 
badly in the current CVS chances are it will get fixed relatively 
quickly anyway. This is not a product that is remaining stagnant for 
long periods of time. Having said all of that, if there are significant 
changes in the database (I don't know) from 0.14 to current CVS, you 
will probably lose some data if you have to go back to the older 
version. My guess is that you will know long before you delete or record 
a lot of shows whether it works well enough to keep or not.
