Ray,

The solution I think your looking for is called x11vnc. This will allow
access to your default X11 session, thats the one running on your
desktop.

You can then use x2x if your controlling from Linux, or win2vnc if your
controlling from Windows.

There is a special command line option in the cvs version of x11vnc to
stop it sending the desktop image to the remote PC, you should use this
as it will save you processor time on your MythTV frontend box.
