Hi,

I'd like to set the tuner to a known channel (wich transmits EPG information)
when the tuner is not used. That way nxtvepg can refresh its data in passive
mode when possible. I don't need a gui option for this, just a db entry. I
could even live with using the "starting channel" for that tuner, but others
might disagree.

With the current implementation in mythtv 0.14 you need to shut down nxtvepg
while using the tuner. Otherwise nxtvepg may switch channels behind mythvs
back.

"Active" support for nxtvepg would be even better. That way nxtvepg is told
when the tuner is in use by another program. xawtv and xawdecode both
implement this. Sample code is in the nxtvepg source.

Resolving this issue would make mythtv nearly perfect for me. Thank you all
for this great piece of software.
