Why the smartass comment? I think Isaac pretty much gave his opinion to
this thread and all the others over the months. There will not be a web
forum. That's it, live with it. It's his project and his time he puts
in to it. Let him handle it the way that best suits him. He's not
getting paid by us after all. Let his hoby remain fun for him and not a
chore.

Anyhow, I'd prefer to keep discussion in a single source. Once it gets
fragmented to a list and a board, then I have to search two different
resources when I'm looking for something. Do I also need to post
questions to both locations? Will people that post to the forum start
sending Isaac private e-mails asking him why he's ignoring their posts
and not replying? How many people will reply to a mail list question
with a URL to the message board (and vice versa)? Will Isaac and others
eventually be lured to the message board to deal with a topic that flows
over to the mailing list?

Yes, forums have some advantages. But so do mailing lists. I
personally prefered Usenet before the spammers destroyed it. Mailing
lists are now my preference (I have much more power over the filtering
of messages vs. web forums and can make personal archives of select
postings). Everyone can't have their way. I believe we're all best
served by a single source with a diverse subscriber base.
