[mythtv-users] PVR350 TvOut test pattern works but...

I've been running into this for the last week. I followed the instruction
on the TvOutHowto and just tonight followed the latest version of Jarod's
PVR 350 but I keep getting to the same impasse.

It all works as expected. I get a test pattern with the insmod saa7127
enable_output=1 output_select=0 test_image=1. I then do the rmmod followed
by the insmod without the test_image=1 parameter. I set the test_ioctl -u
0x3000 -p 4 (I have a tuner). I get a great capture that I can play with
mplayer. Sound and picture are both great via my monitor.

I do the ivtvfbctl stuff followed by the dd if=/dev/video0 of=/dev/video16
bs=64k. The screen is just blank at this point. When I ctrl-C out I get
output like:
541+500 records in
541+500 records out

The numbers vary depending on how long I wait to ctrl-C.

Where would I look to troubleshoot this? I've gone through this process
many times now with the same results. I've double checked the modules.conf
file. I've looked at output generated from some of the commands. I've
tried different /dev/videoX (where X = 1, 2, 3, 4, 8, 16, 32) for the of=
parameter. Everything looks okay but no TV out.

My testing TV is not HDTV. It is just an ordinary Samsung 24" color.
